If you are being transferred to Fort Bragg I recommend that you do yourself a favor and visit Moore County...you will thank me later. Moore County is located to the West of Ft Bragg and borders the town of Southern Pines. Pinehurst and Southern Pines have hosted multiple US Open Golf Championships including the 1996, 2001& 2006 Women’s US Open Golf Championship and the 1999 & 2005 Men's US Open Golf Championship. In 2014 our small little town will make history as the first time ever that both the Menes and Women’s US Opens will be held back to back on the same golf course.

Golf is not the only thing Moore County has to offer. Our schools are known as some of the best in the state. We have great parks and recreations programs for the kids and adults of all ages including, soccer, football, baseball, inline hockey, tennis, golf, etc. And we have great local & national shops and the restaurants.
